Taran is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She focuses on personalizing the therapy session to her client’s needs while building a warm, inclusive, and validating safe space that is culturally responsive and socially just. With clinical training and professional experience, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Trent University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Taran offers support to individuals aged 14+ who are experiencing issues relating to anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationships, sex, marriage, self-esteem, identity, and grief. Taran’s diverse experience in the mental health field and dedication to empowering individuals, allows her to help her clients look past their life stressors or complications and regain confidence in a meaningful step forward.
Taran believes that a strong therapeutic relationship can help enhance your quality of life, transform your relationships & boost your resilience in challenging life situations. She pulls from a toolbox of various modalities that include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, and the Gottman Method for Couples.
In practice, Taran is gentle, honest, and intuitive, she is passionate about seeing her clients step into their power and resilience. She brings an inclusive space catered to individuals from diverse populations and socioeconomic backgrounds that advocates for women and men from various unique life experiences to feel empowered and understood.
