Individual counselling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviours, work through challenging memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change.
Utilizing integrated various approaches including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, mindfulness and many more modalities. VMH aims to create a personalized approach for each client. With experience in anxiety, mood disorders, depression, stress, relationship challenges, anger management, self-esteem, parenting difficulties, life transitions, trauma and abuse and more, we work with clients to meet their specific needs and goals. Individual therapy helps clients better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change and greater contentment in life.

With extensive experience using the Gottman Method, Vault Mental Health seeks to incorporate evidence-based practices with a safe, unbiased and non-judgemental space. Couples will feel confident in open discussions that allow each individuals the space to feel heard and safe. A therapist’s help, can support couples in finding some common ground and end up in a stronger position to move forward together in the relationship.

THE SAFE SPACE
For clients who prefer to meet with their therapist in person at Vault Mental Health, we offer a calming, interior-designed, unassuming and modern, space that allows clients to feel safe. Our office are conveniently located in beautiful Downtown Barrie at 134 Collier St. and in Whitby at 102-213 Byron St. S.
Our unique and relaxing spaces were designed to not feel like a mental health office or clinic setting. From the nonconventional wall colours to the decor, we hope clients feel a sense of calmness and wellbeing from the moment they walk through our doors.
For our Barrie location, we welcome clients to either park on location or using the paid, street parking on Collier Street. For our Whitby location there is street parking available on Byron St. You can then text your therapist upon arrival and they will greet you at the door.
ONLINE COUNSELLING & THERAPY

Vault Mental Health offers seamless online video session from the client portal OWL, allowing you to connect anywhere, any time! OWL is Canada’s most secure and compliant teletherapy available. It seamlessly connects without usage of a third party to ensure complete privacy compliancy with PHIPA guidelines.
Once a client at VMH, you will receive online instructions to set up your own client account in order to access your video sessions via our Client Portal. Once your account is set up, simply login to be able to click “join” for access to your video session and start receiving virtual care from the safety and comfort of your own home.
ALL Services are offered online, in person, by telephone, and through video call.
All sessions are 50 minutes in length.
